Thanks for showing interest in the Barnabas Fellowship.

Thank you for showing interest in Barnabas Fellowship. I'm Ken Harbour, President of the ministry.

Through your donations, we are able to help impoverished children and orphans in the Himalayan Mountain Range and North India with basic necessities that we ourselves can take for granted. Things like food, clothing, shelter, and even an education are several things that cost pennies but are worth a fortune to those in need. And they are provided in a family atmosphere of love and compassion.

Your donations allow us to provide helpless widows and the persecuted communities with ways they can empower themselves. We provide tailoring training to the motivated, water for small villages, medical assistance, livestock husbandry projects, micro-enterprise income-producing opportunities, and more to the struggling.

We assist in the rescue of young Nepali girls from those who would abduct and sell them to the horrible sex-trafficking trade. We also organized teams of men and women to go to rural areas to research the best ways to empower the destitute and to encourage and lift them from a life of despair.

In time of crisis, donated funds help us send them extra food, blankets, and health care to ensure the livelihood of the communities we assist. As you can see, we work to help our planet's children live as close as possible to a normal life. Every bit you donate helps bring a smile to a child's face or a mother and father's heart, and that alone is worth everything.

Ken and Diana Harbour

We've been a team for over thirty-four years now and find life is always full of adventure.

We make our home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, but like to consider the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina as special places in our personal history.

~ In the 1970's we were thinking of church planting and Bible translation but didn't want to go where others had already been.

~ After a brief stint in seminary, we struck out on our own with an idea we called "TENTMAKING" ~ little did we know it would become a recognized way of sharing the Gospel.

~ Our goal was to get to China. And after a short but successful career in corporate sales, we found ourselves working with people from a variety of nations.

~ We were accomplishing this as early as 1985...trying to present to churches and interested individuals here in the United States that there were really great opportunities in partnering with INDIGENOUS groups already in some of these locations. It was hard work.

~ Diana has always had a penchant for "healing and prayer" and when we combined it with our Asian experiences, that led us to incorporate practices from India and China into our thinking processes. We are both licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine as acupuncturists.

~ We love teaching on various topics related to the Emerging Church, unreached peoples, Chinese medicine, and Christian healing practices.

~ We continue to raise funds for important projects abroad and oversee the distribution of those funds to the projects.

~ We have had a hand in planting hundreds of churches, seen Scripture translations accomplished, been fruitful in touching orphans and widows, initiating micro-business ventures and a score of other projects in a number of countries.

~ Be the change you want to see in the world.
